Q. When will the Advance course checking begin?
A.
The Advanced course check in will begin on July 13th evening 4:00 p.m.
Q. I registered for one course but now I want to attend another course. How can I transfer my registration?
A.
Please send an email to the registration desk and explain the situation. If this transfer includes a refund from our side, then the processing
might take longer. If it involves you paying additional money, we will contact you. In either case, you will receive a confirmation email
from our side.
Q. I would like to transfer my Advanced course registration to the DC event?
A.
Yes, we can transfer you. Please send us a request.
Q. I registered but have not received any confirmation message?
Please send us your transaction information, we will register and get back to your.
Q. What are the cancellation charges?
A.
Cancellation Policy for course differ from one another. Please refer to course registration page for cancellation charges
Q. I have been overcharged/undercharged on my credit card!
A.
Please send us your transaction information, we will verify and rectify this.
Q. How do I register the rest of my family?
A.
Each participant needs a separate login to register.
Q. Nobody seems to answer the phone. Are you guys really there?
A.
In most cases we'll answer your calls right away. Depending on how busy our volunteers are it may take some time in certain cases to return
your call.
Q. I wish to attend only the Guru Purnima celebrations. Can I do that?
We will open registration for Guru Purnima day event in June. Please notice that the hall has very limited extra seating capacity and we will
only guarantee space in the hall for people who register.

Q. When will the course begin? When will it end?
A. The Advanced (Part-2) course will begin at 6:00PM on July 13th ( Sunday ) and will end on July 18th (Friday) evening 9:00 Pm. Check in starts at 4 Pm. Please check the individual <URL course> pages for other courses start time.
Q. Does the course fee include housing?
A. No. The course fee does not include Hotel room. You need to separately book a room at Hyatt. However, we can help you co-ordinate to find room-mates.
Q. What is the contact info for booking a room at Hyatt
A. Hotel Address is : Hyatt Regency Santa Clara 5101 Great America Parkway Santa Clara, California 95054, USA Tel : +1 (800) 233 1234 To make a room reservation, please call the Hyatt Regency hotel reservation desk at 1(800)233-1234 and ask for “Art of Living” Group rate discount. The discounted room rate for Art of Living is $139 + taxes per room, per night. One room can accommodate up to a maximum of 4 guests. You can also register online at the Hyatt Website.
Q. Where are the courses held? Is the venue closer to the Hotel?
A. All courses will be held at Hyatt Regency Hotel, Santa Clara, CA. You can reserve a room at Hyatt for a discount price for the duration of (4/12/08 – 4/19/08)
Q. Is there a cutoff date for the Group rate discount?
A. Cut-off date is June 11, 2008. Group rate may still be open after this date on a space available basis.
Q. Is it OK to check-in late?
A. Inform Hotel that you will be checking in late.

Q: I want to share a room with 2 or 4 people.
A: Please contact housing team, We will able to help you
Q. Are there any other Hotels nearby where we can reserve a room?
A. Our recommendation is for you to stay at Hyatt where the courses are being held.
Q. I am local. Can I stay at the Hyatt Hotel?
A. Yes. We encourage all participants to stay on-site for a better course experience.
Q. Are the rooms comfortable at Hyatt?
A. The rooms are available with one king or two double beds. For more information visit the Hotel website.
Q. I have registered for Gurupuja Phase 2. I am unable to get the discounted rate of $139/room/night from Hyatt when I make the booking from July 14 - July 18.
A. Please send us an email after you have registered for Gurupuja phase 2. We will contact the Hyatt for giving you the $139/room/night. Please note that June 11th 2008 is the last date to get the negotiated price will still apply. Please allow enough time for us to talk to hyatt to give you the price.

Q. What are all the nearby airports to the venue?
A. 1. Norman Y Mineta San Jose International Airport (SJC)- 5.8 miles
2. San Francisco International Airport (SFO) – 30.3 miles
3. Oakland International Airport (OAK) – 33.2 miles
Q. What time should I plan on arriving at the airport?
A.
We suggest that you arrive around or prior to 3 PM July 13 to leave plenty of time to travel to the venue and check into the hotel.
Q. How do I get from the airport to the course venue?
A.
You can take a taxi cab, super shuttle or public transit to the venue. Please visit the <URL transportation> page for prices and information.
Q. Should I make reservations for any of the above?
A.
You don’t have to make a reservation for cabs from SFO or OAK, they have 24 hour cab line outside the terminals. You can reserve for super shuttle on their website: Super Shuttle Website
Q. Where can I find time tables for the bus/train?
Please use http://511.org, or use google maps with “public transit” option.
Q. Is there parking at Hyatt? What is the cost?
A.
Self-Parking is free for Art of living course attendees. The parking structure is located behind the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara.

Q: What services are offered by Ayurveda Wellness Center?
A: The Ayurveda Wellness Center offers Ayurvedic therapeutic massage / treatments like Marma Therapy etc. by our qualified technicians.
Q: Where do I go for treatments?
A: Treatments are offered on site. Website will be updated with room details soon.
Q: What is the qualification of technicians?
A: Our technicians are trained in Sri Sri Ayurveda Centre.
Q: How long does it take for each treatment?
A: Each treatment takes approximately an hour.
Q: What is the cost of a treatment?

Q: How do I schedule an appointment?

Q: How can I reschedule my appointment?
A: Due to tight booking schedule it is very difficult to reschedule appointments.
Q: When do I pay?
A: You must pay at the time of scheduling the appointment with major credit card or cash. There will be no refund once booking is made.
Q: What is the cancellation policy?
A: Appointments once booked can not be cancelled or refunded.
Q: What is the gender of my technician? Can I choose technician?
A: We have both female and male technicians and we will try to accommodate your preference at the time of booking.
Q: What should I bring with me to the treatment?
A: Please bring a regular size bath towel, a head wrap or a medium size towel. You can buy a head warp at the time of appointment as well.
Q: Are there any prerequisites for the treatments?
A: No
Q: I am on medication, can I take these treatments?
A: Yes. But check the appointment form. We need to know abut your medical conditions, any recent operations etc.
Q: I am not feeling well can I see an Ayurveda doctor?
A: We do not have any doctor onsite.
Q: Do I need to take shower after the treatment?
A: There is no need to take a shower as long as the oil is wiped out thoroughly.
Q: How do I follow-up after going home?
A: There is no follow-up required, you can consult to your physician for any health related questions. |
