The tragedy at Virginia Tech has become a catalyst for a nationwide youth movement to build a violence-free, stress-free society. On campuses across the country, college students are taking Art of Living programs to overcome post-traumatic stress and depression and re-discover their inner strength.
Art of Living Course at Virginia Tech April 28 - May 3, 2007
A few days after the shootings, Art of Living volunteers and youth instructors were invited by former participants of the Art of Living course to organize a program for the Virginia Tech community on campus. In four short days, the volunteers organized a successful Art of Living course with approximately 40 students. They spoke to hundreds of students, in the student lounges and cafes, dorm meetings, dance performances, and student gatherings. The programs were covered on the campus radio and television. Another program has been scheduled from June 4 to June 9, 2007. For more information, please contact us at youth@us.artofliving.org.
The programs at Virginia Tech have spurred a nation-wide university campaign to spread the message of human values. Youth across the nation are taking the responsibility to create a violence-free, stress-free America.
